Good and bad breath

No matter how hard you try to clean your teeth and watch your diet, we all have an epidsode of bad breath occasionally. Move on to the next section for home remedies to keep your breath at its best.

Figuring out the cause of bad breath is the first step, obviously, in doing something about it, but here are some home remedies to keep your breath as fresh as possible.

Keep your mouth clean. Brush thoroughly at least twice a day, (after getting up and before going to sleep). spend at least 5 min brushing  your teeth. Floss your teeth on a daily basis.

Clean your tongue, too. Plaque and bacteria grow on your tongue also, especially at the back, and you need to brush your tongue, along with your teeth.

Ditch your dentures. If you wear dentures, never wear them to sleep. Give them a thorough cleaning and leave them out until morning.

Wet your whistle.
A dry mouth can equal smelly breath. Saliva helps clean your mouth; it has a natural antibacterial action and it washes away food particles. (Reduced saliva flow at night explains why your breath smells sour when you wake up in the morning.) Try sucking on sugarless mints to stimulate saliva production.

Don’t stress out. Stress can dry out your mouth, causing bad breath.

Avoid potent foods. Garlic and onions, among other foods, contain sulfur compounds that move on to the lungs after they are absorbed in the bloodstream. Certain fish, such as anchovies, and seaweed are high in “fishy” amine odors. Unfortunately, during the move the chemicals that make these foods so tasty and pungent stick around. And they don’t smell so great as you whisper sweet nothings into your sweetheart’s ear.

Drink enough water throughout the day.  Lack of water in the body might lead to bad breath.

Parsley is one of the food items that are considered to be good for fighting against bad breath. If you are eating something like garlic bread, which is bound to leave a bad odor in your mouth, it is better to chew on parsley after the meal is over.

Visit the dentist for a check up every six months. Most of the people do not visit a dentist till the time any major trouble occurs. However, it is one of the best ways to avoid bad breath.

Formula Freebies Cut Breastfeeding Time

The benefits of breast milk are well known, and national heath programs encourage mothers to nurse infants rather than feed them formula from bottles.
Researchers surveyed about 3,900 Oregon women who had babies in 2000 and 2001. Among those who were breastfeeding when they left the hospital, more than two-thirds said they had received hospital care packages containing formula.
But the care packages had a dramatic impact on patterns of breastfeeding. Women who received the packs were 39 percent more likely to stop exclusive breastfeeding at 10 weeks or sooner than those who didn’t receive free formula, according to the report.
“The distribution of these packs to new mothers at hospitals is part of a longstanding marketing campaign by infant formula manufactures and implies hospital and staff endorsement of infant formula,’’ wrote the study authors. “Commercial hospital discharge pack distribution should be reconsidered in light of its negative impact on exclusive breastfeeding.’’
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, although about 74 percent of American women try breastfeeding, only 11 percent end up breastfeeding exclusively for at least six months.

Watch out!

You have a problem with your health? If so, don’t dilly dally, make a diagnostic of your organism, to fersure that you haven’t mesothelioma and absolutely health. Because, facts of this disease are awful. Mainly, of all people diagnosed with mesothelioma only about 10% will be alive 3 years later and 5% will be alive 5 years later. Nothing is so clear tho, survival depends on some other factors, as well as stage and complication level. The interesting research was done at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where doctors followed 120 patients with diagnosed many different types of mesothelioma pleural type. There was surgery used on them to remove pleura and lung. Later on there was chemotherapy and radiotherapy used on them, plus some had immunotheraphy and some didnt. On the end 45% patients in this trial were alive 2 years later and 22% were alive 5 years later which is a very good summary. This mean people may still have hope. There was also two more of this kind of studies done, and here is the similar results of them: 1 year after diagnosis average, 24% patients with pleural mesothelioma and 34% with peritoneal mesothelioma were still alive.
